The Gardener

Our little gardener:
Andrew's new job is to water the flowers and bushes...when we remember to let him do it. :) Daddy was trying to work on the yard while mommy was at work so he let Andrew have the hose to water.

He loved it!

Apparently it requires great concentration...

and lots of interesting faces :)

Then he turned the hose on daddy

good thing it was only on mist

Mother's Day

I took a vacation day on Mother's Day since I was scheduled to work (that and almost every other holiday this ear). We had kind of a busy day trying to see verybody but it was a good day. Andrew made me a picture in Sunday School, I got red roses, cards, and gift certificates for 2 pedicures!! I can't wait to go do that. Andrew made mugs for the grandmas that he colored.

Just smellin' the roses :)

Mmmmm...this one smells good

Muh's 60th Birthday

'Muh's' 60 Birthday was on May 8th. We went to their condo for a party. We had a lasagne dinner and a delicious chocolate cake. We invited a few of her friends and my cousin came down to visit also.

What's in there?
Muh: Are those for me? Andrew: No, for me!
Mommy
Andrew was excited about helping Muh blow out her candles...and he loves chocolate cake. Who doesn't? (we decided not to put them all on for fear we'd have to call the fire department :)

Random pictures from Muh and Grumpa's house

Rocking, his favorite pastime at their house. And he tells everyone else which rocking chairs to sit in and we all have to rock.

Silly boy, it's sliding down over his eyes. He made this hat at the Spring Fair.

Hats aren't for eating

When we came back to get Andrew after the grandparents were baby-sitting we saw a 'dummy' sitting on the porch with Andrew's clothes, hat, and shoes on with his backpack on the porch. Andrew was hiding from us behind the couch.

Silly boy! He thought this was really funny!

Andrew-isms

I asked Andrew, "What comes after 'Y'?" He said, "because."
***
He was very concerned about our next door neighbor when there was a Comcast truck parked outside her house. He said there's a truck in A's driveway, a man went inside, is A scared?
***
"I'm keeping it warm." While he was holding his shirt over his knees while going potty.
***
Andrew was reading a book to himself about a mouse that was getting ready for bed and when she got in bed he started wailing and he said "Where's the mommy, where's the daddy?" He was very disturbed that there was no mommy or daddy there to tuck her in.
***
I had a list over the last couple of months and I accidentally erased it. :) I'll add more if I think of them.

Play-dough and painting

Sunday, Andrew wanted to get out his 'Coco-Nutty Monkey' play dough set. He loves it, thanks Aunt Angie!! You push down on his head with play-dough inside and it grows hair and dough comes out for the tongue. You can push down on his tail to clap his hands together to make shapes. And Andrew loves to make bananas with one of the little toys.
He said we were making Cheetos....but then we put it on the monkey's nose for a trunk....

and on our noses! :)

Silly boy!

The Zoo

Last Friday was probably the nicest day we've had all year so we decided to go to Point Defiance Zoo. So did everyone else. Boy was it busy!!
I was proud of Andrew he went to the top of the big staircase by himself and went down 3 or 4 times.

We went to feed the goats and Andrew thought it was pretty funny and that it tickled when the goat licked his hand to get the pellets.

Are you hungry too?

The monkeys put on quite a show

No visit is complete without riding the carousel at least once.....

or usually twice :)
