Andrew's Easter basket at home

Since I had to work a 12 hour shift on Easter I told Andrew that the Easter bunny knew that and decided to bring his Easter basket on Monday morning. Besides he knew he was going to have a few other celebrations the day before.
Here is his Easter basket. The piano, the blue box, and the horse he already had on his table. But he did get the Diesel train and the Spiderman placemat for Easter.
He even received a letter from the Easter bunny in the mail.

Showing me his new friend 'Peter Rabbit' that he got at Muh's house. (He fell asleep in the car the night before so he's still wearing his dress shirt...with pj pants)

Spiderman!

What's in here? Is there candy? I can't get it open.

More Easter fun with the Bouma's

"Over the river and through the woods to grandmother's house we go."
So after my parents' house Andrew and daddy went to Matt's parents' house to celebrate Easter with them. He got to do a THIRD Easter Egg hunt.
Starting to fill his basket

Have to get those eggs before cousin Sam gets them all.

What a cutie!

Anything in here? Nope, just real eggs.
More pictures
Then Andrew and Sam dogpiled on grandpa and had a tickle fight
This one is my favorite!

Easter fun at Muh & Grumpa's house

It's actually May now, but I was pretty sick for two and a half weeks and I'm trying to catch up on the blog. I got sick 2 days after Easter, no I don't have swine flu! I had to work on Easter for 12.5 hours but Andrew had 3 different egg hunts. He did a small one at church and then headed to Muh and Grumpa's house and 'Auntie Kara' helped him look for eggs.

Starting to look for his eggs

Auntie Kara
Hey is there one under the pillow?
What's in there? Is it candy?
Andrew's eggs were 'hidden' around the house where they were fairly easy to find,
Kara however had to decipher clues to find hers.
One in Grumpa's office
Andrew got a very realistic looking rabbit in his Easter basket that he named Peter Rabbit and gives him a hug and kiss every night at bedtime. Kara took it from him and ran around the house with Andrew chasing after her trying to get it back and yelling, 'that's my bunny.' :)

Elmo and Candyland

It was raining when Andrew got up from his nap today so we decided to play Candyland. Daddy won and Andrew came in second, mommy however was a VERY distant fourth. (Andrew played two pieces)

Telling us what color we got, and how many squares

Showing us which square to go to

He loved having mommy and daddy's undivided attention.

A fun picture of Andrew and Elmo in sunglasses. Elmo was 'helping' us do puzzles this afternoon.

Easter eggs

We had a lot of fun decorating Easter eggs Tuesday night after dinner. Only one fell on the floor and cracked, not too bad.

We got a Marvel comics dyeing kit. Complete with Spiderman of course!
Daddy helping Andrew pick stickers to put on his eggs. And teaching the names of all the superheroes. :) (he already knew some of them)

"I can do it!"

Andrew was actually pretty good about putting the egg gently in the dye with the dipper. I just wanted to help him get it over the cup first so he wouldn't drop the egg.

Mommy helping Andrew with the eggs.

Putting it on the egg dipper

Ooooh!! What color is that?

Easter egg fun!!

He was very proud of his Easter eggs!

The park

We had such nice weather the beginning of this week that we took some trips to the park. On Sunday after church we went to Bradley Park in South Hill Puyallup, which Andrew loved! Apparently every other perosn in Puyallup thought it was a good day to go too. They have such a wonderful playground and a lake. Andrew loved the car he could sit in and pretend to drive. He got to see a live fish someone had caught too.

On Monday after we went to the library it was sunny out so we went to a park a little closer to home. Andrew really wanted to go back to the "one with the car, by Wal-Mart" but we didn't have time. So these pictures are from this one. Mostly what he wanted to do was play with the cedar chips and make piles of them/rearrange them.

I'm actually surprised I was able to convince him to swing

'Rearranging' the cedar chips

He also told me we don't eat the cedar chips and we don't throw them. We had a discussion about not throwing them when he was making piles of them on the sidewalk. When he was swinging I pushed him a little hard once and I told him to hang on, that he didn't want to fall and get a mouthful of cedar chips. So he told me no, we don't eat them.

"I'm stuck, I'm stuck!"

He wasn't really. I was chasing him on the grass around these big rocks and he went in the middle and said he was stuck with a mischieveous grin on his face. I said no, you can get out. And he insisted he was stuck, although when I started to come in and get him out he came out. :)

He only wanted to go down the slide and play on the other toys when I told him it was time to go home (I'd given him a 5 minute and a 2 minute warning by the way, and I did let him have one slide)
