A Lunch Date with Friends

My friend and co-worker Rachael had her second little girl on October 11th, Aliyah. So after giving her time to settle in we decided to get together with another co-worker and friend Tara for pizza at Round Table. (November 6th)

Andrew is really pretty well behaved in restaurants. He has his occasional moment, after all he is three, rather three and a half. But he wants to be five so he can grow big and go on an airplane with Grandma Donna to Disneyland. :)

He found a bunch of acorns on the ground that he wanted to take to preschool to show his teacher (shh, don't tell him we forgot) they were working on fall and fall leaves changing colors this month at school

That rake's a lot bigger than Andrew, but at least he's got boots and a warm sweater, he's all set.

This was his sandbox rake that he traded Matt for the big rake and told him he could have a turn with that one until we borrowed a second rake from one of the neighbors.

What a good helper, he actually did a pretty good job! Mommy just directed.

Fall chores are fun when you're three, not thirty-three. (except when you have a fun little boy to do it with)

Halloween 2009

Again , sorry pics backward in order. We did our 4th annual trick-or-treating with the McKnight clan and cousin Sam and Auntie Angie and her dog Tony joined us this year. First we have pizza before trick-or-treating. Matt asked if anyone had to go potty before we left the house, Andrew said yes and Matt told him, you just went and didn't take him. Guess who had to go a few blocks later. Another time later Matt asked everyone loud enough that Andrew heard and said he had to go again, probably would have been fine. Mommy had to keep his candy bucket going, that was a little weird. He really enjoyed being Thomas the Train this year.

This is also an annual event....climbing all over the big off-road vehicle that's in the living room

This was Logan taking a nap in his lion costume on a chair in the corner before we got there :)

We made our usual Hallloween rounds before this. We went to Muh and Grumpa's house, where they gave him a train whistle to go with his outfit and then off to Grandma and Grandpa's house and finally off to his best friend Ethan's house.

That's as close as I could get to them both looking at the camera at the same time

Ethan is the monkey and Andrew is Thomas the Train. Eliana, Ethan's 8 month old sister was sleeping or we would have gotten a cute picture of her in her butterfly costume too.

Pumpkin Carving--Halloween 2009

Again I am very frustrated becase blogger won't let me move the pictures around to the right order. So when I originally uploaded them, the ones I started with are at the bottom of the page. Grrrr! So Friday night before Halloween we carved our big pumpkin. Andrew gave his input as to the shape of the eyes, nose, and mouth. He helped draw it on and scoop some of the guts out.

Mommy, the real pumpkin carver, well once daddy could get the top off for us. I think we should cut a round hole in the top next year, maybe it would be easier to get out.
