Andrew's First Day of Preschool

Today was Andrew's first day of preschool at Little Sprouts Christian Preschool at our church. He survived, and so did mommy. :) He cried a little when we left but only for a few minutes, then he had a lot of fun! I got a massage while he was at school. :)

He was really excited to go...but the sun was in his eyes

Daddy took this picture (I didn't know) when he was upset that we were leaving. He only cried for a couple of minutes and then he had a lot of fun!

We went ot grandma and grandpa's house to celebrate Auntie Angie's 29th birthday. Andrew loved the cupcakes! And he ran around yelling with cousin Sam, he was a little energy-ball!

Our weekend

Mommy's been trying to get a lot of rest because I haven't felt that great and had zero energy.
On Friday I helped Andrew do painting and played Candyland....he won again, of course!
Saturday we went to Babies R Us to register for new things for our baby girl. Andrew had a blast with the scanner!

Andrew and his scanner

Andrew was quick to scan stuff when I asked him if he liked something

Andrew thought this would be a good bike for baby sister but we convinced him that baby wouldn't need that yet. So he put the scanner in the basket and rode it around the store.

Sunday after church Andrew made chocolate chip cookies with daddy and then he came to share the beater with mommy.

Showing him how to lick it

The best part of cookie baking :)

A Camel ride

Thursday Andrew went to spend the day with Muh and Grumpa and Grumpa took him for a long visit to the zoo and Andrew got to ride a camel!!! I wish I had a picture!

Preschool Open House last night

We went to our church last night for Preschool open house. Andrew insisted on bringing his new backpack and froggy. :) He was really cute! He packed his backpack with crayons and paper. He got to meet his teacher Miss Megan and play in his classroom. He was going to be the only boy in both 3 and 4 yr. old classrooms but another boy joined last night.

My baby is going to start preschool!

He picked out a 'hulk smash, ironman, spider-man' backpack

Playing in the kitchen in his classroom

I think he's going to have a lot of fun!

The Dog House

We spent quite a bit of the day in our jammies. Matt called for Andrew and he came out of the dog house with Zoe.

The 'doggy-kitty cat' That's what he calls himself, it says meow, woof. He says there are cats living under the deck....there aren't really.

Goofy boy :)

His new fireman jammies....they even have a picture of an air tank on the back and an axe on the front. :)

Camping 2009

We went on our annual camping trip the weekend of the 21st-23rd. A big group of my husband's high school friends all go camping together one weekend every year. This year we went to Belfair State Park. We had a lot of fun exploring the beach and the creek, playing in the dirt, hanging out with friends and having campfires. We can't wait until next year, hopefully baby sister will like it. :)

Andrew was packed in like a little sardine in the back, I could barely see him from the front passenger seat

He's SO excited to go!

Andrew and I went to explore the beach while daddy cooked dinner and finished setting up

The beach was mostly rocks and twigs and oyster shells

But Andrew loves to throw rocks in the water so he was okay with a rocky beach

Digging in the sand we could find

Andrew decided he wanted to sit in his Mickey Mouse camp chair instead of at the picnic table so he used the cooler as his table

Daddy cookin'

This was the beach in the morning....mud flats, almost as far as the eye could see. Some of our friends kids got stuck up to the waist in mud, we didn't go out there.

Daddy and Andrew got to go out on Chris' boat to check his crab pots, although there weren't any big enough to keep. Andrew didn't want to touch them. He had a lot of fun but he was really upset when they first left because he wanted mommy to go with (we didn't have enough adult life jackets and it's a small boat).

A better picture of daddy, his eyes aren't closed this time

My little captain

I think this was Andrew's favorite activity...playing in the dirt! There was a big dirt pile in our friends' campsite right next to us. Luckily we were able to get all of our campsites right together and they had little paths in between.

Celeste was hamming it up for the camera

Josiah, Johanna, and Grace

(We had 12 adults and 13 kids)

Johanna, Amy & Andrew

Andrew LOVED Amy and he always wanted to go over to their campsite (that's also where the dirtpile was and her two little boys) and show her things.

Andrew and Mommy roasting hot dogs and s'mores before we left.

"A little cold Matt?" This creek ran through our campground down to Hood Canal

Andrew wasn't very happy about going in the creek, he thought it was too cold!

Throwin' rocks

My boys

Andrew wanted to show me the 'other' beach but it was very muddy when we were leaving.

Belfair was a pretty interesting place, we passed the Red Barn Restaurant that advertised the 'udder room' and then we passed this sign on our way out. :) (I'd never pick up hitchhikers anyway)
